Coverage: 1975-present (with selected older titles). A multi-disciplinary database with significant full-text. Covers information in nearly every area of academic study. Indexes 4,600 journals (of which 3,900 are peer-reviewed)

Historical Abstracts Restricted Access
Historical Abstracts covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present, including world history, military history, women`s history, history of education, and more.

PAIS International Restricted Access
Coverage: 1915-present. Covers all aspects of public affairs including political science, sociology, health, etc. with an international view. Coverage includes foreign language materials and some U.S. congressional documents. Includes references previously contained in the PAIS Archive.

Hapi Online Restricted Access
Coverage: 1970-present. A source for journal article citations about Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Mexico, Brazil, and Hispanics/Latinos in the United States.  Many articles in Spanish.

HLAS Online--Handbook of Latin American Studies Unrestricted Access
Coverage: 1935-present. A bibliography of journals and books on Latin America covering topics in both the humanities and social sciences.

International Bibliography of the Social Sciences Restricted Access

JSTOR Restricted Access Some full text available
Coverage: varies. Includes over one thousand leading academic journals as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. Journals are always included from volume 1, issue 1 and include previous titles. For most JSTOR titles, the most recent years of publication are not covered.  If you want the most recent scholarship on a topic, you should probably try another database.  However, current issues for more than 150 journals are available on JSTOR as part of the Current Scholarship Program.

eHRAF World Cultures Restricted Access Some full text available
Coverage: 1997-present. Contains ethnographic collections covering all aspects of cultural and social life with a strong emphasis on non-Western cultures. eHRAF is unique in having subject indexing at the paragraph level. This allows detailed and precise searching for concepts not easily found with keywords.  Ethnographic documents in eHRAF include culture-specific books, journal articles, and dissertations. Sabin Americana Restricted Access
Sabin Americana, 1500–1926 is the most comprehensive collection of works about the Americas from the time of discovery through 1926. It is based on Joseph Sabin's famed bibliography, Bibliotheca Americana. The books in the collection have been sourced from a variety of libraries, including The Huntington Library, Yale University, American Antiquarian Society and the Library of Congress.

Coverage: 1974-1996. Translations of foreign radio and television broadcasts, news agency transmissions, newspapers, periodicals, and government statements from foreign countries. Series 1 through 6 have been released. They cover Africa, Asia, East Europe, Latin American, and the Middle East.

FAMSI Research materials Unrestricted Access
The Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies and the Museum Library of the University of Pennsylvania provide many links to key Mesoamerican materials including the Bibliografia Mesoamericana. The latter covers published literature on Mesoamerican anthropology from the early 16th century to the present. Other notable inclusions are a Maya who`s who, the Maya Vase Archive, and the Tikal Digital Access database.

Latin American Government Report Archive Unrestricted Access Some full text available
This site seeks to preserve and facilitate access to a wide range of ministerial and presidential documents from 18 Latin American and Caribbean countries. The Archive contains copies of the Web sites of approximately 300 government ministries and presidencies. Capture of sites began on multiple dates in 2005 and 2006.

Latin Americanist Research Resources Project Unrestricted Access
This a cooperative initiative of North American, Latin American, and Caribbean libraries that seek to improve access to the array of research resources published in Latin America. Political Database of the Americas Unrestricted Access Some full text available
The Political Database of the Americas (PDBA) is a non-governmental project of the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at Georgetown University in collaboration with institutions like the Secretariat for Political Affairs of the Organization of American States and FLACSO-Chile. PDBA offers centralized information about institutions and political processes, national constitutions, branches of government, elections, political constitutional studies and other subjects related to the strengthening of democracy in the region.
