Includes merit briefs for cases granted certiorari and special masters, amicus curiae briefs, and joint appendices beginning in January 1979, with selected coverage from 1936. All briefs are available for cases granted certiorari beginning after the 1993-1994 term; also includes briefs petitioning for certiorari in civil cases (other thanhabeas cases) from the 1999-2000 term through current. For civil cases where cert. is denied, briefs are provided for cases on the paid docket but are not provided for cases on the In Forma Pauperis docket. No cert-stage briefs are provided for habeas cases or for criminal cases that are summarily decided or where cert. is denied.

One of the most comprehensive legal resources available on the Internet.  It includes pointers to law schools, legal publishers, legal associations, statutes and laws, judicial opinions and case la (federal and state), law firms and lawyers, legal news, consultants and experts, international law resources, and more. Two new resource centers were added in 1998: small business (how to start, finance, manage, and market a small business), and consumer law (articles about issues such as landlord/tenant relations, personal injury, labor and employment, hiring and using lawyers to settle disputes, etc.).

Guide to Law Online Unrestricted Access
Created by the US Law Library of Congress, this metasite indexes online resources for legal information worldwide. Four primary sections: US, Nations, International and Multinational, and Subjects. The largest of these is the Nations section, which offers links to the constitution; executive, legislative, and judicial branches; legal guides; and general resources for more than 200 countries.

Center for Research Libraries' Human Rights Guide Unrestricted Access
A guide to the CRLs holdings in human rights which include primary source materials ranging from the proceedings of the post-World War II war crimes trials at Nuremberg and Tokyo to the files of the Khmer Rouge Santebal police recovered from the notorious Tuol Sleng Prison in Cambodia. Document types include treaties, speeches, government and NGO publications, reports, addresses from congresses and conventions, newspapers, transcripts, case files, personal diaries of victims of human rights violations, and the papers of human rights activists.
