JSTOR
Coverage: varies. Over 800 core scholarly journals. Current issues are unavailable for a varying number of years (frequently 2 to 5 years).
Humanities & Social Science Index Retrospective
Coverage: 1907-1984. Allows search of a wide range of important journals in the humanities and social sciences.
Web of Knowledge
Coverage: 1989-present. Consists of databases containing information gathered from thousands of scholarly journals. It includes the Science Citation and Social Sciences Citation Indexes.
Academic Search Premier
Coverage: 1975-present (with selected older titles). A multi-disciplinary database with significant full-text. This scholarly collection offers information in nearly every area of academic study.
Primary Search
Coverage: 1990-present. Provides access to popular magazines for elementary school research, with all articles assigned a reading level indicator.
Encyclopedia of African American Education
2009 ed. The entries provide a comprehensive overview of educational institutions at every level, from preschool through graduate and professional training, with special attention to historically and predominantly Black colleges and universities. The encyclopedia follows the struggle of African Americans to achieve equality in education—beginning among an enslaved population and evolving into the present—as the efforts of many remarkable individuals furthered this cause through court decisions and legislation.

15th ed. The complete contents of the Chicago Manual of Style.
National Center for Education Statistics 
Current national and international education statistics. Also features an electronic catalog and search tool for NCES reports; users can browse the report and often download the files.
World Data on Education
Educational profiles for about 110 countries that include literacy figures, government spending on education and enrollment ratios. Much of the material is taken from UNESCO's Statistical Yearbook and other government sources.
World Development Indicators
Coverage: 1960-present. WDI includes more than 900 development indicators in over 80 tables organized in 6 sections: World View, People, Environment, Economy, States and Markets, and Global.

Education Review: a journal of book reviews
Coverage: 2002--. ER publishes reviews of recently published books in education. Reviews are written by education scholars and are typically 2,500 to 4,000 words long. Reviews may be browsed by topic, book author, book title, review author, or the date of publication of the book.
